Independent residents have several living options to choose from a Private Room, a Deluxe Private Room or a Deluxe Comfort Suite. The Quarters at The Shook is a 45 bed personal care facility in the heart of downtown Chambersburg. Professional, caring staff provide 24 hour nursing support with all of the comforts of home. Residents are provided prepared meals, assistance with housekeeping and scheduled local transportation.
The Shook is a small home, by present-day standards... just 65 beds for skilled Nursing Care. It is this very smallness that enables us to provide resident centered care to our guests. The Shook Home offers a Skilled level of nursing care in private or semi-private rooms.
Situated in South Central Pennsylvania, Chambersburg offers the small town feel with many nearby diversions. Cultural events at The Capital Theatre, Totem Pole Playhouse, Shippensburg University and Wilson College. Picnicking, hiking and swimming at local parks: Memorial parks, Caledonia State Park and Cowan's Gap State Park. Shopping and sightseeing in Chambersburg and nearby Gettysburg.
